Title: Baby-Friendly Initiative Reduces Neonatal Hyperbilirubinemia

Learning Objectives:
  • The Participant will be able to describe the change in the exclusive breastfeeding rates before and after implementation of Baby-Friendly practices at our facility.
  • The participant will be able to discuss the research methodology used to compare the data between groups
  • The participant will be able to evaluate the results of the study

  • Submission Description:
    When our facility began implementing Baby-Friendly practices, not only did we see a dramatic rise in our exclusive breastfeeding rates, we also saw a significant decrease in neonatal hyperbilirubinemia and phototherapy use in term and late preterm infants.
