A2 - Hypoglycemia in the Newborn: I Thought It Would Have Been All Worked out by Now

Hypoglycemia and low blood sugar remain vexing challenges for both the neonate and the neonatal nurse in all settings. The physiology and pathophysiology of glucose metabolism in the neonate will be discussed. Case studies will be used to generate discussion about the approaches and controversies in management of common situations that neonatal nurses may face in various practice settings.
