Improved patient safety is one of the proposed benefits of implementing healthcare IT, but poorly implemented information systems might actually be a threat. This presentation will address strategies perinatal nurses and nursing leaders can apply to ensure effective use of healthcare IT as a tool for enhanced patient safety.
