Labor and delivery nurses are called upon to be advocates for women during one of the most critical moments in their lives. While evidence supports the safety of no intervention/low-tech birthing for most women, we continue to see active management as the norm for many women regardless of risk. This session will discuss ways obstetrical nurses can use the current climate of evidence based health care to increase our advocacy efforts and support patient choices.
