The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is developing a new approach to teaching and learning neonatal resuscitation skills. Educational methodologies no longer support lecture-based teaching. NRP is moving toward a teamwork and communications approach that will also raise the bar on instructor competence and make learners more accountable for their own experience.
