This presentation will describe an interesting disorder in cardiology that is primarily observed in women, called Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, stress-related cardiomyopathy, or broken heart syndrome. Pathophysiology and clinical features will be presented, along with precipitating events, cardiovascular outcomes, and management strategies.
