"Simplexity" is a concept that attempts to bridge the paradox between two things that can seem astoundingly simple, yet be very complex....such as "the heart" and "the science" of nursing. The "simplexity" of today's nurse and nursing practice is often not visible or understood which can lead to an inadequate representation of who nurses are and their role in health care.
