This session will explore the opportunities, mechanisms, and processes of peer review in scholarly publishing. Attendees will be challenged to consider their professional responsibilities to contribute to the advancement of the discipline and evidence-based healthcare for women and newborns through ethical peer review.  The various ways that peer-review is used in scholarly publishing will be explored to demystify its processes and outcomes.
