Few areas of medicine have engendered as much controversy as the treatment of infertility. Almost every aspect of assisted reproduction therapy has been met with objection from one group or another. This presentation will address some of the ethical and moral issues associated with common reproductive technologies. Discussion includes infertility as a disease, intrauterine insemination with husband and donor sperm, in vitro fertilization, cryopreservation of embryos, surrogacy and even adoption.
