Title: PC1 - STABLE: Post-Resuscitation/Pre-Transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants

Learning Objectives:
  1. Discuss components of the STABLE Program mnemonic, and how this mnemonic can be utilized to provide optimal post - resuscitation and pre-transport care for newborns.
  2. Review essential assessment strategies for hypoglycemia, hypothermia, respiratory distress, hypotension, and sepsis in the newborn.
  3. Describe nursing interventions to safely support sick newborns in terms of glucose, thermoregulatory, respiratory, hemodynamic, and sepsis management.

STABLE is designed for healthcare providers in a wide variety of settings. This full day educational program provides general guidelines for the assessment and stabilization of sick infants in the post-resuscitation/pre-transport period.
