Title: PC4 - OB Emergencies: Case Management From the Trenches

Learning Objectives:
- Identify leading causes of maternal mortality in the United States.
- Discuss the clinical significance of physiologic changes of pregnancy with respect to provision of emergency and/or critical maternal-fetal care.
- Describe medical-legal issues related to clinical management during OB emergencies
This workshop addresses essential concepts for effective management of obstetric complications and clinical emergencies. Clinical case studies “from the trenches” give participants ample opportunity to apply key concepts to real crisis situations. Medical-legal considerations during obstetric emergencies are also explored.
