- List at least three benefits of using standard nursing terminologies in perinatal records.
- Discuss implications for perinatal nurses of using standard nursng terminologies in perinatal records.
In order to truly change dysfunctional processes and quantify the impact of perinatal nursing interventions on patient outcomes, retrieving accurate data from the perinatal medical record is essential. Using a widely available perinatal process measurement tool as an example, this presentation will describe the importance of incorporating standard nursing terminologies in perinatal medical records.
