  1. Describe the difference between a legal and an ethical responsibility as a health care provider.
  2. Define a professional conflict of interest for the medical professional serving patients.
  3. Identify three reliable on-line, evidence-based lactation resources for parents, and for health care providers.
Submission Description:
This session will focus on hot button legal and ethical tensions in breastfeeding support: Breastfeeding mom tests positive for street drugs; Mom wants to share breastmilk; Physician orders a contraceptive that will result in diminished supply; Formula salesperson wants to pay your way to a CEUs session. What can you do -- while keeping your job and staying legal?
