Submission Description:
The prevention opportunities of the interconception period are increasingly recognized as critical for addressing many of the nation’s health problems including poor birth outcomes and chronic diseases. This program will review the evidence linking risk factors identified in one pregnancy on subsequent health outcomes, emerging and best practices for risk reduction and specific strategies to incorporate interconception care into the routine nursing care provided to pregnant, postpartum and parenting women.
