  • Submission Description:
    Harnessing the healing wind of a Critical Incident Debrief required enlightening the Labor & Delivery team of Mary Birch Hospital how to navigate a newly developed Debrief tool. The safe harbor of confidential, timely, debriefs anchors the team against overwhelming emotions that can accompany a critical event. In addition to sharing didactic content education included a video of three brave colleagues discussing their feelings after error events, and their thoughts on how a critical event debrief would help them to heal and inspire them to become a better nurse

    The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
