    The role of the Obstetrical Clinical Nurse Coordinator is a clinical expert who shepherds patients through the final stages of their pregnancy and their transition from the outpatient to inpatient setting. This individual possesses expert knowledge in guidelines for scheduling obstetrical procedures and ensuring a patient’s readiness for successful vaginal delivery. The coordinator also establishes a relationship with patients prior to admission to ensure seamless care and enhanced feelings of comfort upon entering inpatient setting.
