Title: NE1 - Optimizing Outcomes with Human MIlk in the NICU

  • Compare and contrast health and cost outcomes associated with mothers' own human milk (HM), donor human milk (DHM) and formula for premature infants in the NICU
  • Describe the cost effectiveness of practices that prioritize mothers own milk volume during the first 14 days post birth.
  • List clinical strategies that contribute to safe handling and feeding of human milk in the NICU

  • Submission Description:
    This presentation will focus on state of the science clinical research that inform best nursing practices for optimizing the use of human milk in the NICU.
