    Description: An in depth look at amniotic fluid embolism, a leading cause of maternal death and morbidity. This session will offer a clinical overview including incidence, signs and symptoms, theories of cause, pathophysiology, current medical management, diagnostic criteria, recent research, subsequent pregnancies, and tools to aid in better supporting the emotional needs of the patient, family and care team. Followed by a unique and powerful patient perspective.
