  • Discuss substance use disorder in the United States affecting pregnancy
  • Review care in the childbearing woman from preconception through postpartum

  • Submission Description:
    The purpose of this presentation is to talk about the background of substance use disorder in the childbearing woman. A review of screening, diagnosis and management practices will be addressed during the perinatal period. The author will speak about several programs that have been utilized in an attempt to address gaps in care for pregnant women suffering from SUD.
