  • Submission Description:
    In the U.S., the rate of maternal mortality continues to rise while other industrialized countries’ rates decline. The Empowering Women to Obtain Needed Care Project was developed by AWHONN and supported with funding from Merck for Mothers. The goal is to provide women with the postpartum, pre-discharge education they need to seek care for complications that arise post-birth. Nurses are key to providing this information in a format that is user friendly and consistent nation-wide.
