Is your brow perpetually furrowed and your neck and shoulders taut with tension? Do you feel frazzled and overwhelmed? Are you, your colleagues or your patients experiencing stress overload? While it may be outside your power to alter life events causing stress, you can control your response to it. This workshop will explore evidence-based strategies for relaxation, stress relief, and restoring your energy system to a more balanced state. Participants will have the opportunity to practice and receive healing touch, massage therapy, and clinical aromatherapy techniques under the guidance of experienced complementary therapists. Faculty will discuss ways of incorporating stress relief, pain reduction and relaxation strategies into patient care, including hospital-based practices.
