The needs are great; losses are many in the spectrum of pregnancy and birth related tragedies. This workshop will offer strategies to create a practical and supportive framework for care when a loss is anticipated, becomes a reality and when we send families back into the community.
From giving bad news, anticipating a death, implementing palliative care goals, transitioning to hospice care and bereavement follow up, we will review current initiatives, resources and expertise emerging in these areas with opportunity for discussion on implementation and evaluation.
