Title: H4 - She's Bleeding - Now What? Acute Volume Resuscitation - Principles and Practice

Learning Objectives:
- Describe the pathophysiology of hypovolemic shock, including compensatory mechanisms and changes in the microcirculation.
- Identify the clinical signs and symptoms of hypovolemic shock including assessment findings.
- Discuss the rationale for use of selected intravenous fluids and component therapy during acute volume resuscitation.
This presentation will provide an overview of the pathophysiology of hypovolemic shock, identify the essential skills for volume resusuciation and address the complications of fluid therapy.
