- Identify 3 common myths related to EFM that can negatively impact nursing care.
- Discuss current evidence supporting standardization of EFM management.
- Apply a case-based approach to EFM review.
Errors in fetal monitoring evaluation and management greatly impact newborn outcome and contribute to nursing and medical liability. This program will review common myths and errors as well as provide an evidence-based management approach consistent with current safety initiatives. Case studies and active audience participation are featured.
