CC2 - The Breast Cancer Journey - Palpation of a Lump to Life As a Survivor

  1. Describe the recommended evaluation of a palpable breast mass.
  2. Discuss most common treatment options for women diagnosed with breast cancer.
  3. Summarize current findings on the use of hormones in breast cancer survivors.
Submission Description:
This session will walk you through care of a woman from palpation of her breast lump to life as a breast cancer survivor, focusing on the latest evidence and recommendations related to screening and management. Quandries faced by survivors will be addressed, such as pregnancy, birth control and menopause symptom relief. In addition to the clinical continuum of care, the session will include personal perspectives from a breast cancer survivor.
