- Examine 11 principle updates to the CDC STD Treatment Guidelines: December, 2010.
- Explore 5 major strategies for STD prevention and control as outlined in the CDC update (December, 2010).
- Formulate approaches to utilize these Guidelines in a variety of patient care settings.
This presentation will provide an overview of changes to the Center for Disease Control STD Treatment Guidelines issued in December, 2010. Included in this discussion will be strategies for STD prevention and control (including HPV vaccination for girls and boys), dealing with antibiotic resistance in certain diseases and updates to disease specific screening and treatment during pregnancy.
