  3. Define neuropeptides and identify their importance on the emotional quotient of the baby in the prenatal period.
Submission Description:
There is a growing body of evidence supporting the link between emotions experienced by a mother during pregnancy and her baby’s emotional and physical health. This session will review literature related to epigenetics, focusing on the impact of maternal stress (both collective and individual) on fetal and child development. In addition, strategies nurses can share with mothers and families to help them reduce and manage stress will be discussed.
