- Discuss two strategic initiatives that support the integration of quality and cost into value within the nursing, medical, and business models in healthcare in order to develop a perinatal financial center of excellence.
- Describe selected methods to provide ongoing support for the perinatal financial center of excellence.
Recognizing that creating a perinatal financial center of excellence requires keeping your “three-legged stool” balanced is critical. The connections between the nursing, medical and business models must be developed, strengthened, and maintained to avoid the label of “loss leader” for perinatal service lines. This presentation will provide selected strategic initiatives with actual data to support achievement of perinatal financial excellence while meeting quality and patient satisfaction goals.
