With increased interest in pursuing an advanced degree in nursing and the current strong push towards doctoral preparation for the practice realm as well, many nurses find themselves struggling to understand the intended roles and career trajectories of the DNP and PhD prepared nurse. This presentation is intended for those who are interested in learning about the history, curriculum, roles, and possible career trajectories from presenters who have recently experienced making the decision, completing the coursework, forging a path for future collaboration, and have survived to tell the tale.
