The only way to enhance the kind of advocacy that prevents medical errors and injuries is to move beyond emotional intelligence to team intelligence. But how do we create teams, genuine team communication and thus patient safety and how do nurses lead such teams, act on them as assertive members, and encourage real team training in their institutions
