Submission Description:
From team leaders and clinical specialists to nursing executives and directors, clinical leadership in perinatal nursing demands familiarity with legal and risk management issues. This course will provide an overview of liability issues unique to leadership positions, including employment concerns, unit risk assessment, sentinel event management and professional liability concerns for managerial staff. Strategies to promote safer care while reducing liability exposure will be explored, and several case studies will be utilized to exemplify common legal issues.
