  1. Apply current screening guidelines appropriately for populations at risk for cervical, anal, and other HPV-related cancer.
  2. Apply current guidelines for the appropriate referral of patients with abnormal cervical and anal screening tests.
  3. Describe the methods for collecting screening samples, performing colposcopy, and high-resolution anoscopy
Submission Description:
A review of the current methods for screening and diagnosis of HPV-related pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions of the cervix, anal canal and throat. The presentation will introduce the audience to guidelines identifying populations at risk, clinical skills related to the collection of screening samples, colposcopy, and high-resolution anoscopy. In addition, we will discuss exciting technologies that may be adopted in the future as well as current innovations such as the use of telemedicine in this field.
