Learning Objectives:
- 1)Identify the role of different forms of structured communications in supporting safety.
- 2)Describe two strategies for supporting new learners (students and orientees) in developing effective communication skills.
- 3)Identify one gap within your sphere of influence and one strategy to address it with when you return to work.
In this session we will examine the role of structure, role modeling, interprofessionalism, and multi-level accountability in supporting safety by creating a stable platform for effective communication in perinatal environments. We will discuss strategies within different spheres of influence for improving communication in perinatal care.
