  • 2. The learner will be able to describe the process for screening and interpretation of transcutaneous or serum bilirubin results
  • 3. The learner will be able to state 4 interventions to support breastfeeding for infants with transcutaneous or serum bilirubin results in the high intermediate and high risk zones

  • Submission Description:
    This presentation will describe the development and implementation of a standard algorithm for assessment, prevention and management of hyperbilirubinemia in the newborn. Implementation of the algorithm resulted in a 23% reduction in newborn readmissions.
