  • Submission Description:
    After attending the National AWHONN conference in June 2014, I decided to educate our staff and providers on delayed cord clamping. I explained objectives, benefits, methods for C/Section vs vaginal delivery, and evidence-based practice. We now routinely practice delayed cord clamping on our unit and my data has shown improved apgars on our infants.

    The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
