Learning Objectives:
  • Demonstrate understanding of the purpose of the Safety First in the NICU committee as well as the structure of the meetings.
  • Identify the types of safety issues to be resolved in the Safety First in the NICU meetings.
  • Verbalize understanding of the role of the Safety First in the NICU in creating a culture of safety in the organization.

  • Submission Description:
    Safety First in the NICU is a weekly safety committee meeting to quickly address any identified safety issues and resolve them quickly. Core group member attend weekly with additionaly members added as needed to address specific safety items.
