  • The learner will be able to identify 2 reasons why perinatal loss education is needed.
  • The learner will be able to describe 6 key components of perinatal loss education.
  • The learner will be able to synthesize the evidence supporting perinatal bereavement education

  • Submission Description:
    Realizing that not all nurse have the opportunity to attend perinatal loss education, we created our own workshop for maternal-child nurses, gradually expanding to not only nurses outside our department, but outside our facility, and to include other health care professionals at the table for integrated practice. Evaluations over 15 years shaped desired topics, multimodal learning, and reaching novice to expert.
