Learning Objectives:
  • Discuss trends in cesarean birth rates.
  • Describe maternal positioning techniques to decrease the primary cesarean birth rate for arrest disorders.
  • Describe 3 position rotation to standardize labor care.

  • Submission Description:
    Cesarean section is the most commonly performed surgical procedure in the United States. The purpose of this program evaluation was to determine the effectiveness of upright and frequent maternal repositioning on the primary cesarean births indicated for arrest disorders.
