Learning Objectives:
  • Identify safety hazards in the patient environment that will cause harm
  • Communicate observations related to safety and hazards in the patient environment
  • Recognize the importance of enhanced safety to promote the military treatment facility as a High Reliability Organization (HRO)

    • Submission Description:
    The purpose of this project is to create an educational activity that enhances awareness of identified patient safety concerns and emphasizes the value of providing safe and evidence-based care while applying High-Reliability Organization (HRO) principles to a “Room of Errors” simulation drill in the Maternal Child Health inpatient units (Antepartum, Labor and Delivery and Postpartum).
