Submission Description:
Care of high risk obstetric patients in a community hospital is challenging because of limited personnel, equipment and supplies. The presentation describes a comparison between the outcomes of two patients with histories of multiple cesarean sections. An algorithm for management of suspected placenta accreta is recommended in a community hospital to minimize serious consequences in the presence of serious or life-threatening event and to promote patient safety utilizing evidenced-based knowledge.
