Learning Objectives:
  • Identify risk factors associated with postpartum preeclampsia.
  • State methods used to educate population indicated
  • State importance of monitoring identified high risk population to help reduce readmissions and preeclampsia sequalea

  • Submission Description:
The reported prevalence of postpartum-hypertension and preeclampsia is 0.3 to 27.5%. Unfortunately, there are no established predictive measures or preventative treatments for postpartum preeclampsia. Our goal is to reduce readmissions for postpartum hypertension and preeclampsia by using a formal management algorithm. By scoring postpartum patients according to risk factors, we can screen for highest risk patients and provide appropriate interventions.
