Title: S4 - March of Dimes Partner Symposium: The National Partnership for Maternal Safety & You

Learning Objectives:
  • Discuss the need for a national maternal safety partnership
  • Evaluate current trends in maternal morbidity and mortality
  • Identify three actionable steps you can take toward implementing or improving the implementation of maternal safety bundles in your workplace

  • Submission Description:
    We will review US maternal morbidity and mortality trends, the development of the National Partnership for Maternal Safety, the role nurses have played in developing partnership goals and safety bundles, and the critical role nurses play in successful implementation of maternal safety bundles. Implementation resources and strategies will be presented and discussed with an emphasis on what staff nurses can do to advance partnership goals.
